Workshop overview:
The principal is expected to be able to handle any problems with parents, teachers and students, manage the facility, enable teachers to teach, and to know the latest information on curricular issues. This seminar will address Texas and national standards, challenges with regard to creation of learning communities, and possible curricular trends for the 21st century.

Jane Cobia
F. Jane Cobia is currently the chair of the Department of Education at the Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. She teaches curriculum, methodology, and seminar classes. Over the past 28 years, Jane has had a wide range of experience in education, from being an instructor, to an educational specialist, to Assistant Superintendent, to Coordinator of Career and Technical Programs, to Superintendent of a district in Alabama. Dr. Cobia holds many positions with educational associations and currently sits on the International Board of Directors with ASCD.
